KEEP THE BEAUTIFUL GAME BEAUTIFUL The time for the World cup is rapidly approaching. We know that many of you are excited to cheer on your team, whether you are heading out for drinks, hosting a bbq with friends or simply staying at home to watch with family. We want everyone to have a fantastic time, but we are asking our community to drink responsibly and look out for each other so that match days stay safe and enjoyable but keeping these simple safety tips in mind.
PACE YOURSELF - Drink water in between your alcoholic drinks, and know your limits. PLAN YOUR JOURNEY - If you are drinking, please leave the car at home. Arrange a designated driver, book a taxi/Uber, use public transport or walk. Remember you can still be over the alcohol limit the following morning. DON'T BUY ALCOHOL FOR UNDER 18'S - It is an offence to buy alcohol for any under the age of 18 (known as a proxy sale) Help us to tackle (see what i did there) underage drinking and the anti-social behaviour that often comes with it. RESPECT YOUR NEIGHBOURS - Winning or Losing, emotions run high during football. Please keep noise levels to a reasonable volume when leaving venues or hosting at home. Respect those living around you.
Local officers will be out on high visible patrol in town centres and around licensed premises on match days to support local businesses and keep you safe. | ||
